WOWnature: Post-natural disturbances forest restoration through private funding

WOWnature is a web-based platform that allows citizens, organisations, and businesses to contribute to the growth of new forests and preserving existing ones by planting and adopting trees. The project adheres to forest management standards, including Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification, ensuring that conservation efforts are carried out responsibly and sustainably. The initiative is promoted by Etifor, a spin-off of the University of Padua in Italy, dedicated to promoting environmental protection and sustainability. WOWnature modernises and improves various aspects of forestry operations, offering solutions that enable stakeholders to play an active role in forest conservation, restoration, and management efforts. The project embodies innovative solutions on multiple fronts, including communication and awareness, collaboration and stakeholder engagement to address environmental challenges and promote sustainable forest management practices.
