Description
The Reuse of Wood initiative focuses on transforming old furniture, pallets, and demolition wood waste into valuable resources within the circular bioeconomy framework, reducing landfill dependency, lowering carbon footprints, and supporting sustainable forest management.
The innovation developed advanced sorting technologies to identify and classify demolition wood by quality, species, and treatment history. The process continues by removing all hazardous additives, such as varnishes, and upcycling the materials into high-value products, including glued-laminated timber (GLT), cross-laminated timber (CLT), particleboards, pellets, and briquettes.
