Rapid urbanisation is bringing many challenges, both for humans and the environment. Urban forests can provide a simple yet extremely effective solution. However, while the benefits of urban forests are being increasingly recognised, the road to their realisation is still full of obstacles. With the aim to better understand these challenges, Uforest – a project co-funded by the European Commission – has conducted a study on different urban forestry projects around Europe.
