Hybrid-Fachtagung „Windenergieanlagen aus Holz“

Hybrid-Fachtagung „Windenergieanlagen aus Holz“ (Hybrid Symposium Wind Turbines Made of Wood)
On 25 September 2025, join Zentrum HOLZ at the Hybrid Symposium Wind Turbines Made of Wood online or in person at the HOLZ Centre in Olsberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
Wind energy is an essential building block for a successful energy transition in North Rhine-Westphalia, with eight gigawatts (GW) of wind energy capacity currently installed in the industrial state of North Rhine-Westphalia. According to the NRW Energy and Heat Strategy, a total installed capacity of around 18-23 GW is planned by 2045. In the short term, at least 1,000 new wind turbines are to be built by the end of 2027.
Wood as a material plays a key role in the field of climate-friendly and recyclable materials. New tower concepts for wind turbines based on wood-based material technologies are currently being developed and launched on the market. These offer further technological advantages in terms of foundations, segmentation, logistics, assembly and dismantling.
As part of the hybrid conference, the current concepts and possibilities for the implementation of the Modvion Tower and the Hasslach Green Tower Timber Hybrid Tower, as well as the technologies for rotor blades made of wood, will be presented. We expect Malte Mérono, Fraunhofer WKI, as well as Werner Mussnig, Hasslacher Green Tower GmbH and Tom Siekmann, Voodin Blade Technology GmbH, among others, to speak at this event. Additionally, further well-founded information on the expansion of wind energy in North Rhine-Westphalia will be provided.
Participation in the event is free of charge.
