Discovering Lignin Challenge

Discovering Lignin Challenge

HUBTEC and CMPC invite you to participate in Tree Revolution: Discovering Lignin Challenge, an international call for proposals seeking new applications for kraft lignin, a byproduct with high potential to substitute fossil fuels and advance toward a more sustainable bioeconomy.

The challenge is aimed at universities, R&D centres, start-ups, and companies with innovative solutions in two categories:

• Early stage (TRL 3-6): projects in the proof-of-concept phase, primarily from the academic world.
• Advanced stage (TRL >6): solutions with technological validation on a medium scale, aimed at integration into real processes.

The winning projects will receive prizes of USD 7,000, USD 3,000, and USD 1,000 per category, in addition to the possibility of exploring collaboration opportunities with CMPC for the development and scaling of their solutions.
