Cristina Massot Berna is the Secretary General of the Agriculture Department of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Spain, a role she has held since August 2024, where she is in charge of the Catalan Bioeconomy Strategy 2030.. Previously, she was Deputy Director General of Food Industries and Food Quality, where she managed actions in the food sector and promoted Catalan agri-food products. From 2017 to 2021, she served as a Policy Coordinator at the European Commission’s DG SANTE, contributing to the EU’s animal health regulations. Cristina has also led animal health programs and coordinated livestock traceability in Catalonia. She holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
