Climate Change Technician

Cesefor is looking for a passionate person with experience in Adaptive Forestry and Climate Change to join our team in the Forestry and Climate Change Area. You will work in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment, collaborating on national and European projects to develop innovative and sustainable solutions in the forestry sector. You will report to the Head of the Forestry and Carbon Line and the Head of the Area.

You will coordinate and actively participate in European projects (LIFE, INTERREG and HORIZON EUROPE, among others), ensuring correct technical and administrative execution.

You will develop adaptive forestry strategies to promote the adaptation of forest ecosystems to climate change, favouring their resilience and long-term sustainability.

You will manage and analyze spatial and field databases with the support of Geographic Information Systems and programming to obtain the best results that help make the best decisions for managing forest resources and their landscape.

You will write reports, carry out fieldwork, transfer tools and knowledge to different actors in the sector and help develop innovative solutions.

You will coordinate and carry out knowledge transfer activities, positioning Cesefor as a leader in adapting and mitigating Climate Change in the forestry sector.

You will promote collaboration with external entities such as managers, forest owners and the forestry industry, seeking optimal solutions to improve the value chains of forest resources.

Promote the improvement of forest resource value chains, develop solutions adapted to the sector’s needs and enhance the forest industry’s sustainability and competitiveness.
